Description
SB. Holmes Tree Insulator, Style B. Fracture around potstone in dome above "BR" in front left. Significant amber swirling. Strawlines on front of dome. Porcelain bushing put together "opposite" -- both "THOMOS" embossings are on same level.
Story
When Bill came to the Springfield show a couple years ago with the other half of a Holmes that I got, he indicated the Bob had a few of these. I contacted Bob and asked if he still had any. Indeed, he did -- but it was a nice green Brookfield and he wasn't interested in selling at the moment, but he said I could contact him again. So I did -- ever 6 months for the next several years. He finally contacted me and said he'd decided to sell, but by this time I'd picked up some of these and I wasn't as interested, We emailed a few times, had problems getting pictures, and then I saw him at the Enfield show and he'd come down to what I was willing to pay, so he sent it off to me via mail. When I got it, I have to say that I like it!
