David Dahle's Homepage

Hello, I'm David Dahle, and welcome to my webpage. When I was a kid, I enjoyed looking out the car windows at the poles along the streets and roads everywhere I went. This eventually led to an interest in collecting insulators, and shortly after I moved to Sioux Falls in 1984 (where I've lived since), I met another insulator collector, and I was hooked! Since then, I've increased my collection from 5 in 1984 to a peak of 250 (6 years later) to around 100 insulators today. Also, in the last few years, I've started taking pictures of old powerlines that I come across, and you will see a few of the more interesting photographs here on this webpage.

More recently, my interest in insulators and taking pictures of utility poles has taken a backseat to my collection of and historical interest in watthour meters.
