Swap Meeting, Szekszárd, 2007
We made a swap meeting. It was very good and fun, meet with nice people and swap Insulators. There were:
Rick Soller, USA - Frantisek Danek, Cszech Rep. - Michal Okulicz and his girlfriend Ania, Poland - - I and Miklos, Hungary - Wim Druijff and his whife Angeli, Holland - James Bancroft, UK.

There was nery nice to meet, to know each other personally, swap Insulators, speak about Insulators etc. I thank to everybody who came here. We will make this meeting at every year, the last weekend of July. We welcome everybody from everywhere.

We don't count the Insulators in money, and I don't count them in pieces. We swap common for common, rare for rare, mostly all for all. I think, it is fair, we don't want to being profiteer, it is about the Insulators.

It was good experience getting about the institution, we will make it better at next year. I will give information.

We arrived back from Transylvania. I cleaned all Insulator at my two free days in Miklos's home. There was my car and I didn't want to taking extra trip to home. I waited there. At the first time Rick arrived to Budapest. He booked a hotel room there, at that day we picked up him and we met in Miklos's home. He visited Miklos's collection and he made researching work. At the next day James and Michals arrived at one time. I picked up James at the airport and Rick from the hotel, Miklos did Michals at the railway station. At that trip in Budapest's traffic jam began the problems with my car: cooling water boiling.. We carried them to Miklos' home where we met and spent a night. At morning we started by two cars to Szekszard...

Michal had an adventure on the train: his luggage dropped down, and all Insulators escaped from his bag. Fortunately there was not damage.
Michal Miklos and James check Michal's Insulators.
On the way the cooling water escaped from the car, and the cooling fan circuit got wrong, I burned the motor.. Car mechanic, stop every 5th km and filling up with water. But at the last 20 km the car went to the heaven, for ever unfortunately. But we got help, my mother carried us and the trailer to Szekszard. Ok, I have to buy an other used car, this one was very old. At that time, we lost 4 hours, Miklos's car arrived. They spent that time on my land, but my friend forgot to leaving the house key there, who cut the grass etc. We had to wait another hour to get the another key. I like the adventures :-) The trailer is full of with Insulators.
Mom, come to help us!" :-P There is Rick.
Frantisek and his Insulators. He astonish us everytime with something :-) Wood boxes.. good and cheap idea to carrying in car. Frantisek and Wims came at Saturday to Szekszard by car.
James with his Insulators. Few Insulators, but they are very interesting.
Rick's table. He bringed very interesting Insulators books and documents. The Whitall Tatum factory adverting stuff and the CD-154 mold glass are very interesting.
Wim's table with some Holland, German and French Insulators. Nice. Wim and Angeli is a very happy and fun guy with interesting accent (I have terrible one in English). He loved to being here.

Michal carry home these.
The mass: mixed Gulash is cooking on traditional way, it is from Pork, Beef, vegetables, paprika and pork foots.. We ate all of it, the people liked it.
And finally: Cultural program.. Everybody are on the lookout tower, after it we went to my home to visit my hollection there and after it we went to the town's main square to taste wines. Szekszard is the town of the grape and the wine.
It was very fun. At Saturday evening Miklos carried back Rick, Michal and Ania by car to Budapest, Frantisek started to home, Wims started to home at Monday morning. Michal and Ania visited Budapest with Miklos at the next days, James stayed with me two days and we went to hunting. We hunted some common telephone Insulators, some electric ones and rare green Stripers. James went back by train to Budapest and I sent with him some stripers to Rick and Michal. We could not give the striper with tie wire to Rick, we owe to him with it. At Wednesday everybody went to home by train and plane.
