Description RDP (37). Pretty much mint! Note that the plethora of dots aren't real -- 32 dots imply 1970, but probably 14 "real" dots. |

Story Having just arrived at the show, I sat down at Bill's table. Terry came over and we were talking, when Sandy came out with an insulator for me to see. Plain Hemi-14, but WOW look at those dots! I was scratching my head, counting dots, and looking crossed eyed at it when Terry and Sandy start laughing and explain that it was a prank on Terry and I. He'd already fallen for it. She had used epoxy to add a few dots. She gave me the piece, and I showed it to anyone I could. Bill M was wondering why I was showing him such a common piece until his eyes bugged out at the dots and he counted them all to figure out the date, then tried to figure what molds had gone to Dunkirk when. Dan L went yikes! (and the fellow next to him said "It's braille!"). All in all, great prank and lots of fun! |
