Story
This is a Hemingray CD 160 in 7up green. The front embossing says Hemingray - 14 on the front and Made in U.S.A. on the rear. It has round drip points and they are all in good condition. The insulator has a large chip above the H in Hemingray shown on the pictures. It also has two small chips on the inside skirt also shown on that picture. This insulator is hard to find in this beautiful color. Buyers outside the U.S. may have to pay additional postage and/or tax. Question & Answer Answered On Q: Would you happen to know anything about the history of this piece -- where it was found, what it was being used for (telephone, fire alarm system, etc), and such? Also, not that I'm doubting it, but just to be absolutely sure -- is this the original color of the insulator, and it hasn't been stained or altered? Thanks muchly for any additional information! Mar-25-12 A: I do not know any history about this insulator. I was at my friends house and he has about 100 other common insulators sitting on the garden fence for at least 10 years. I know a little about insulators and I knew the color was good so I checked it out for him. I called him and he doesn't remember where he got it. I am a bottle collector and I believe this to be the original color and other than cleaning it we did nothing to alter it.
