PR, Embossed. Darker / lighter mottling on the glaze. Spot inside IS that appears unglazed or possible a very shallow chip.
Story
WW I era, circa 1915. Found in a pile of material intended for use in constructing a 16km line by New Zealand troops. The entire squad was killed, and the material just left there.
