Description SB. Solid pour, missing the back half though I assume NEW YORK would have been there. ROOKFIELD is all there, but B does't seem to be. Huge amber distributed in middle section, turning it pure amber. Top and bottom are clear of amber. Bottom with ove |

| Story Dug by Dave Sztramski at the Brookfield dump. John had bought a couple from him at one of the PA shows a number of years ago, in amber. I had talked to Dave a number of times about these -- he found 10-12 in a nest that all fit together, but he sold them off piece meal before realizing. First went in Klingensmith catalog but didn't fetch as much so that put him off. He brought two to the show in Gettysburg for show and tell only (not for sale). Saw them Friday and he reiterated not-for-sale. Talked to him Saturday to make sure he really wasn't selling so that I could purchase something else. Then Sunday when helping Bill tear down his display, he came over with an offer for one of them. It was more than I was thinking about, bu I didn't hesitate but a moment. Actually, I think this is the one of the two I would have preferred. He's keeping the lsat one as part of his collection. I'm delighted, but broke. | |||||
