Doug MacGillvary ~ Porcelain Threadless Insulators

Hits from the '70s

1973 show At the first Capital District Insulator Club show in Scotia, New York, October 6, 1973. That "dude" with the full head of hair and sideburns is "yours truly," along with my wife, Jan, and daughters, Linda (right) and Jen. This fantastic display/sales table had a working Postal Telegraph clock and was titled "Now Is The Time To Collect Insulators." Pretty clever! (It won the Old Bottle Magazine Award for Best Commercial Display.) Two pieces at the top of the stand were a CD 143.5 T.-H.E.Co. and a CD139.9 McLaughlin USLD.

Another ribbon won, this one for the best insulator sales table at the 1975 Lee, Massachusetts bottle show. It looks like
I had three E.C.&M.`s and a bunch
of threadless for sale.
