Enjoy the photos!

I just love those lightly tinted pieces - they're like jewels! I photographed these beehives with my Canon Digital Rebel inside with studio stobes.

Now, THESE are insulators! I took this with the Digital Rebel with a 100-300mm zoom lens. I didn't want to get too close to these. They're protected by several hundred thousand volts!

What's big, blue and exceedingly cool? This nice J-D that's part of my collection courtesy of Pat Scott.

This big Westinghouse mutipart has some interesting flashover trails on it.

I used the same studio setup as the above photos to try a bit of artsy photography with these insulators and pins.

This is a nice glass Pyrex power piece that came from somewhere in Tennessee. Also courtesy of Pat Scott.

Even a humble Porter plastic insulator can have a new, useful life. I made a lamp out of this one, along with some old copier parts.

Here's a closer look at the Porter lamp. This uses a 6-watt appliance light bulb, and while mainly meant to be decorative, it puts out a useful amount of light.
