Hemingray Glass Dump Insulator?

An insulator found on e*bay for about $25. Some people say I just flushed a quarter of a C-note down the toilet, and others seem to think that this might indeed be a piece hacked up at the Hemingray plant.
The seller claimed it was found at the Hemingray dump in the 1960s.

Here are the pictures, you be the judge.

A between-the-ears view.
Note the position of the mold line.

Base chunking, and a Mike Tyson ear.

A view from the bottom looking up.
The base surrounding the pinhole is so smooth, it's like looking through a windowpane.

Smooth finish to the base, lacking striations or rub marks an amateur insulator hacker might leave behind.
Notice the bevel on the edge of the base.

These pictures show the base has a mirror smooth, concave appearance to it,
something that could not have been done by an ordinary hobbyist lapidary saw.

Here's a close-up of the well-made bevel. An insulator popping from water freezing inside the
pinhole would probably shear the piece in a single plane, not leaving the finished bevel behind. *
The peak of the bevel is rounded and smooth, not sharp and angular, and not jagged in any way.

Here's another view of the bevel and part of the base.

The insulator appears to be the top of a CD216 in flashed amber. The base is transparent (not flashed).

It has been made pretty clear that what I have is $25 whirling down a commode.
This insulator is "ice popped". That means that water got up inside there and then froze, expanding and blowing the whole bottom of the insulator clean off.

E-mail me if you have any additional thoughts on this.
